We are refinishing our basement and upon ripping up the old carpet we noticed some water damage on the plywood subfloor next to the wall. I opened up the wall and noticed 1 or 2 cracks in the foundation with water streaks coming from them. Hoping you guys would be able to repair the cracks and provide a waterproofing assessment for the basement before we continue with the refinish. Thanks!

We have a large (450 sq ft) sunroom with a 2 ft crawlspace underneath. The joists were insulated at one time with fiberglass but moisture and a mouse infestation has destroyed insulation and floor above is extremally cold. I am enquiring to see if this crawl space can be encapsulated to cut down on rodent activity and improve comfort as well as reduce heating costs.

Would like to get an estimate for encapsulating basement crawl space

My house used to have an outdoor porch that was closed in to become part of the home. The crawl space was also closed in with a door so you could use the space for storage. It was a dirt floor with no insulation in the ceiling. I had insulation added to the ceiling approximately 10 years ago for heating purposes. About 8 years ago, the neighbor planted a vegetable garden near the crawl space causing voles/moles to dig up through the dirt floor. I cleaned out the area and put cement down over the dirt. The smell of old wood, just oldness has now started coming up through the floors in my home. I did cut a vent opening on both ends of the house for a cross breeze, but that seems to have made the smell stronger. With today being a warmer day, the smell was more prevalent. I would like to do something to eliminate the odor but still provide the opportunity to use the space for storage.
