This unfinished basement in Haydenville, MA was in danger of the floor above it crashing down, leading to possible injuries or costly damages. To avoid both of these dilemmas, our inspector suggested installing several SmartJacks under the support beam that was falling apart from the mold that was growing onto it. The homeowner agreed to this permanent solution which led our production crew to arrive at the scene.
To begin, they cleared the way of any objects that would interfere with the installation. After, they strategically installed each SmartJack under the sagging floor, along with our own supplemental beam that won't rot from mold. The new beam was placed right along the old one, and once the SmartJacks were positioned correctly, they raised the floor back to its original position. The floor was now sturdy and didn't make anymore creaking sounds! This homeowner was blessed to have gone with a company like us to fix his floor issue!
