This homeowner in Marlborough, MA was faced with a severe moisture issue that lead to a sagging floor above his basement! The outside moisture was seeping through the porous brick walls of this basement, causing the air to be humid and grow mold. The mold weakened the support beam that was holding up the floor joists, resulting in a sagging floor above. In addition, the specialist suggested to cover the interior walls with CleanSpace wall vapor barrier to keep the outside moisture from intruding in this basement. After hearing the details of the job, the homeowner knew this was the answer to all of his concerns.
Our production team arrived to install 4 SmartJacks, 2 on each supporting beam. These durable steel beams are adjustable as well, so in the future, we can alter the system to make sure the floor stays stable. Then, they covered the interior walls, making sure every square inch was covered with our durable liner. Once the system was in place, the homeowner was more than happy to see his basement transform into a safe haven!
