This basement in Luneburg, MA was in a very humid state due to all the moisture in the area. Humidity issues can lead to mold growth or even structural damages to the wooden joists that hold up the first floor, so we sent an inspector to make sure he can write a plan that solves the problem. 

 

Upon arrival, the inspector noticed that the relative humidity was very high, and suggested a few options to fight off the humidity. During heavy rain we have flooding issues in our basement. I was looking for an estimate for the work.

I have water seeping in my basement in two places where the wall meets the floor and up the wall. This is on the same wall.

I have 2 pedestal-style sumps in pretty shallow pits. Would like deeper sump pits so battery backup can be installed, as we lose power pretty often. We also get some water in that area of the basement after heavy rains, probably thru the bottom of the cinderblock walls in that corner, which is where our washer/dryer is and is an access point from our garage. Looking for possible solutions to improving the situation there.
