This homeowner in Warwick, MA had a crawl space that was built with a dirt floor and concrete walls so they were looking to have it insulated and encapsulated because the temperature irregularity was affecting the living area in their home. They also had some concerns about the structural integrity of their crawl space because the floors in their home were beginning to slope in some areas. When our inspector, Dave, went to the home during the free estimate, he was happy to draw up a solution that would solve every issue they were having with their crawl space. On installation day, our foreman, Shawn, and his crew began with insulating the space with TerraBlock and SilverGlo. TerraBlock is used to insulate the floor while SilverGlo insulates the walls, they are both very effective when it comes to regulating the temperature in a crawl space. Next, they encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier which seals off the space and protects it from outside issues like water. To fix the structural issues that the homeowner was starting to see, the crew installed our SmartJacks. SmartJacks are strong beams made of galvanized steel that not only support the floor but can also be adjusted to reverse the sloping that has already occurred. Lastly, they set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the space low. The homeowner now feels much better about their crawl space because it's protected by our products and successfully supporting their home!
