An apartment building owner in Wyoming, RI gave us a call because the joint basement of the building was getting water. It's very important that the basement stays dry because the tenants use it for storage. Nick, one of our inspectors, assessed where the water was entering the basement and drew up a solution. On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew installed a full perimeter waterproofing system in the basement. The WaterGuard drainage system was installed along the majority of the basement floor's perimeter. Around the oil tanks and at the base of the stairs that lead outside, our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed to collect excess water. The WaterGuard and TrenchDrain are connected and channel the water they collect into the TripleSafe sump pump which was installed in the lowest point of the basement. Our crew also set up the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the space low and it drains itself into the TripleSafe as well. On the outside of the building, our IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent flooding from a clogged or frozen discharge line. Now the apartment building is fully waterproof and the tenants can feel comfortable storing their belongings in it.
