Challenge

The customer in Rehoboth had a partially finished basement and wanted to have an additional means of an exit in case of emergency.

Solution

To solve our customer's problem Tim Dagen, our basement professional, suggested an egress window and well. This is a window that is built into the foundation. It is large enough for a person to fit through if necessary. Our RockWell with a four foot window created the egress that the customer was looking for. This also made the customer happy because it lightened up her basement with a lot of natural light.

The crew digs a hole for the cement to be cut enough for the egress window to fit.

The washed stone is at the bottom of the hole for proper drainage. Shown here is also the four foot window.

The crew installs the RollWell window well with a weather proof lid.

RockWell makes it so the well wall is decorative and sturdy.

For exiting through the window you would step through window trim, onto the wash stone and up the built-in step on the well wall. This window here also allows great natural light into a darker basement with limited windows.
