Challenge
This homeowner in Providence, RI gave us a call because their home's finished basement was showing obvious signs of structural damage and they needed a reliable solution. Since this is a finished basement, it was important that the solution would be able to work seamlessly with the basement's layout once the project was finished. Our inspector, Dave, went to the home to assess the basement's foundation and shared his plan with the homeowner.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Kervin and his crew installed our SmartJack Stabilizers throughout the basement along with our supplemental beams. The SmartJacks and supplemental beams are made of galvanized steel so they don't deteriorate over time like wooden beams do. The SmartJacks can even be adjusted over time to reverse the settling of the home that has already occurred. With the SmartJacks installed throughout the basement, the structural integrity of the home is restored and the homeowner can easily repair the finished area of the basement to enjoy it going forward without worrying about its structural integrity.
