Westborough, MA Wet Basement Solutions
Challenge
This homeowner in Westborough, MA reached out to us because they were dealing with water seeping up through the foundation and onto their basement floor after heavy rains. Our inspector went out to the home and after taking a look at the basement, he drew up a solution. He found that the water would find its way in through the floor as well as the bulkhead doorway, so the plan covered each area.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the floor's perimeter to collect the groundwater. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of bulkhead door to catch the surface water, it's connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. That water is then channeled into the SuperSump Plus sump pump which sends all of the collected water out of the basement through a discharge line. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever clogs or freezes. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about water seeping into their basement no matter how hard it rains!
