Moist Fieldstone in Milford, MA
Challenge
In Milford, MA, the owners of this home reached out for some help with their basement being moist. Our inspector took some photos and measurements of the basement, noticing it was fieldstone, and educating the homeowners on how water seepage was very common with fieldstone foundations. Over time, the mortar between the stone can wear away and water will find its way through. Luckily, since it is common, we are very experienced in solving this problem and have a solution for them!
Solution
The crew went out and installed a TripleSafe sump pump, our best sump pump with three pumps for the ultimate basement water protection. They also added WaterGuard piping to collect water around the basement where the floor and walls meet. Along the walls, CleanSpace Wall was installed to create a vapor barrier between the basement and any seepage from the walls. That seepage would be directed into the pipe channel and get removed by the sump pump.
