So, what on earth is soda blasting?

Let's break it down:

Soda blasting uses sodium bicarbonate, otherwise known as baking soda, the same baking soda you bake with! It is blown with high pressure air at the infected wooden beams in the space. The mold is blown off without damaging the lumber, and falls to the floor. The mold is killed by the blasting action and the soda instantly changes the pH, so what falls is not active mold, but simply dust. The soda blasting leave the wood clean and looking like new, and encapsulation will prevent it from growing back.
