The crawl space in this Onset, MA home needed some work to waterproof and stabilize. Our team was happy to help and the crew installed SmartJacks to add supplemental support to the floor above the crawl space to reduce any bounce and keep secure. The waterproofing consisted of encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace to create a barrier and keep moisture from the earth out of the space, moisture that can lead to rot and mold growth.
Phase One
First, the team added steel SmartJacks to stabilize the structure above the crawl space.
Phase Two
The CleanSpace wraps over the floor and partway up the walls when there is SilverGlo insulation to seal moisture out.
Vapor Barrier
The CleanSpace wraps around the existing support to securely seal out moisture.
