Photo Album: Wet Basement Solutions in Whitman, MA
This homeowner in Whitman, MA recently moved into their home that was built in the early 1900s and had fieldstone walls that let in water when it rained. Our inspector, Steve, went to the home to assess the basement and drew up a solution that would make water issues a thing of the past. On installation day, our crew started by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the fieldstone walls to corral the water into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's entire perimeter to collect the groundwater as well. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch surface water and it is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. All of that water is then channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sends all of the collected water out of the basement through the two discharge lines. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if a discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes in the winter. Now the homeowner can rest easy during the next rainfall.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier & WaterGuard Drainage System
CleanSpace is a strong vapor barrier that directs any water it encounters into the WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement floor and covered in fresh concrete to provide a seamless finished look.

The SaniDry Sedona keeps the humidity in the air of the basement low and drains itself into the TripleSafe sump pump which takes all of the collected water and sends it out of the home through the discharge lines.
