In North Kingstown, RI, a homeowner was dealing with a constantly damp basement after it completely flooded a year prior. The basement has fieldstone walls so it was very susceptible to water and was in need of a solution. Our inspector, Mike, went to the home to take a look at the basement and drew up a solution. On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew started waterproofing the basement with installing our CleanSpace wall system along each wall to corral seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system that was installed around the floor's perimeter. On the inside of the bulkhead door, the crew installed our TrenchDrain grated basement drain to collect surface water, it is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. That water is then sent into our TripleSafe sump pump which sends it all out of the home through discharge lines. The SaniDry Sedona was also set up in the basement to keep humidity low and it drains itself into the TripleSafe as well. Now the homeowner doesn't have to worry about water in their basement any longer!
CleanSpace Wall System & WaterGuard Drainage System
CleanSpace is a strong vapor barrier that directs seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement floor and the WaterGuard Port is left visible to provide access to the system when needed.
TrenchDrain Grated Drain
TrenchDrain is installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch excess and surface water. It is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system.
The SaniDry Sedona keeps the humidity in the air of the basement low and drains itself into the sump pump. The TripleSafe takes all of the collected water and sends it out of the home through the discharge lines.
IceGuard Discharge Line System
The IceGuard discharge line system is installed on the outside of the home and prevents flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line.
