Photo Album: Waterproofing an Unfinished Basement in Providence, RI
A homeowner in Providence, RI sent us a message because their basement had water seeping into it when it rained. Our crew started by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to corral seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's entire perimeter to collect groundwater. They also set up our SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the basement to control humidity year-round. The water collected in the drainage system and dehumidifier is channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sends all of the collected water out of the basement through the two discharge lines. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was installed to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if a discharge line ever clogs or freezes. Now the homeowner can have peace of mind next time it rains.
CleanSpace Wall System & WaterGuard Drainage System
CleanSpace is a strong vapor barrier that directs seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement floor and covered in fresh concrete to provide a seamless finished look.
SaniDry XP Dehumidifier
The SaniDry XP keeps the humidity in the air of the basement low and drains itself into the WaterGuard drainage system.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe takes all of the collected water and sends it out of the home through the two discharge lines.
IceGuard Discharge Line System
The IceGuard discharge line system is installed on the outside of the home and prevents flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line.
