The old insulation was falling down and causing more issues than it was actually helping, and the space needed to be encapsulated to help reduce moisture. That water is then channeled into the SuperSump Plus sump pump which sends it out of the basement through a discharge line. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes in the winter.
