On installation day, our crew started waterproofing the basement by fully encapsulating the area that had a dirt floor and stone walls, similar to how we encapsulate crawl spaces. This is because dirt and stone are very susceptible to water issues and our CleanSpace vapor barrier seals off the space completely, so it will no longer be affected by outside weather. The crew also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and SmartSump sump pump. The SaniDry Sedona keeps humidity in the space low and conveniently drains itself into the SmartSump which sends all of the water out of the space through a discharge line. Our inspector, Nick, went to the home to take a look and he drew up a plan that would regulate the temperature of the space and seal it off from the outdoor conditions. First, Foreman Damien and his crew removed debris and regraded the soil in the crawl space for drainage, then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor. Next, they installed our TerraBlock floor insulation over the drainage matting and our SilverGlo wall insulation along each wall which will regulate the crawl space's temperature year-round. Once the insulation was in place, the crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their crawl space!

This East Taunton, MA home was dealing with water seeping in after large rains through cracks in the walls and ground, a problem they didn’t want to have and their sump pumps weren’t fixing. At the free estimate, our inspector was able to assess the basement and notice that a big problem for them was that their pumps were on one side of the basement when the water was coming in on the opposite side, with nothing to collect or transport the water to the existing sump pump.
