Basement Waterproofing System Upgrade in Cranston, RI
Challenge
Homeowners in Cranston, RI had a sump pump installed by a different company and it hasn't been able to handle all the rain we've been having so they gave us a call. One of our inspectors went to the home to assess the basement and share a free estimate of the work that should be done with the homeowners. After hearing about how DryZone's products would keep their basement dry no matter how hard it rained, they were excited to move forward!
Solution
Lucio, one of our foremen, and his crew arrived on installation day ready to waterproof the basement and ensure that it would stay dry this time. They started by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier two feet up the wall to corral the water coming through the wall into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's perimeter collecting the groundwater. All of that water is then channeled into the new sump pump system. The crew carefully removed the existing sump pump and replaced it with our SuperSump Plus sump pump. The SuperSump Plus sends all of the collected water out of the basement through the discharge line. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes in the winter. With our products in place, the homeowner can now feel confident that their basement won't be flooding ever again!
