Entire Basement Waterproofing in Quincy, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Quincy, MA gave us a call because their partially finished basement was experiencing a lot of water issues. Although they had two sump pumps already in place, one in the finished and one in the unfinished part of the basement, but water was still coming in through their foundation and there was a strong musty smell present. Our sales inspector, David, went to the home to assess the issues and drew up a solution. The two sump pumps weren't working properly due to the basement taking on too much water for them to handle, which made sense because the home was located in a high water table area. The existing sump pumps would need to be replaced with more reliable ones and a drainage system would need to be added as well. A small concern was that the location for the sump pump in the finished part of the basement was a bit tricky to access, but David knew that our crew would be able to make it happen!
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Carlos and his crew arrived at the home ready to waterproof! They started by installing our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the basement floor to collect groundwater. They also replaced both of the sump pumps with our TripleSafe sump pump system and although they only had about an 11 inch opening to fit the TripleSafe in for the finished area of the basement, the crew made it look easy. The WaterGuard is connected to and drains into both TripleSafes and that water gets sent out of the home through discharge lines. To eliminate the musty smell, the crew also set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the basement to keep humidity low. Lastly, the crew installed our EverLast Wall Restoration system in the finished part of the basement so the homeowner wouldn't be left with another project on their hands. The homeowner is so happy that they now have a waterproofing system that they can rely on!
