Basement Waterproofing at a School in Wellesley, MA
Challenge
A small school building in Wellesley, MA had a very damp feeling basement that occasionally took on water so the property manager gave us a call to see what we could do. Our inspector, Jake, went to the building and drew up a plan. Although it was a pretty large space, Jake's solution covered every area to ensure it would be staying completely dry going forward.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Riley and his crew arrived at the school building ready to waterproof! Along the entire perimeter of the basement floor, they installed our WaterGuard drainage system to collect groundwater. At the base of the bulkhead stairs, they installed our TrenchDrain grated basement drain to catch excess water. They also installed our SaniDry XP dehumidifier to control the moisture in the air and it drains itself into the sump pump system. The crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump in the lowest point of the basement and it takes all of the collected water and sends it out of the basement through two discharge lines. On the outside of the building, the crew set up our IceGuard discharge line system to prevent water from flooding back into the basement in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line. With DryZone's products in place, the school's basement is now completely waterproof!
