Waterproofing a Basement Condo Unit in Brookline, MA

Challenge

This condo owner in Brookline, MA reached out to us because water was starting to affect the utility area of the basement unit. There was an existing sump pump in place but it was not working properly. Our inspector, Jake, visited the condo and assessed the space to see what kind of waterproofing work would be necessary. Jake noted that this building had a unique curved wall where a majority of the work would be done, so he included that in his plan to prepare our crew for installation day.

Solution

Our crew was able to get started without a hitch when installation day arrived thanks to Jake's plan! They installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier seamlessly along the curved wall as well as our WaterGuard drainage system along the floor's perimeter. The crew also replaced the failed sump pump with our SuperSump Plus sump pump system. The SuperSump Plus takes the water collected by the wall and drainage systems and sends it out of the unit through a discharge line. Our crew did an amazing job with navigating the curved wall and the condo owner is so happy they decided to call DryZone!
