Waterproofing and Foundation Repair in East Providence, RI
Challenge
A property owner in East Providence, RI reached out to us because they were dealing with not only water in the basement of the building, but also structural issues. This building was home to a restaurant so it was important that the space stayed in great condition for customers. The owner was noticing that the water and structural issues were along the back wall, so they wanted to make sure that area was repaired as soon as possible. One of our inspectors, Benny, went out to take a look at the basement, spoke with the property owner, and he drew up a solution that would waterproof the basement and reinforce the building's structural integrity.
Solution
One of our foremen, Kervin, and his crew arrived on installation day ready to fix both issues in the basement! To eliminate the water issues, they first installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the basement floor to collect groundwater. The water in the drainage system is sent into the SuperSump Plus sump pump which discharges all of the collected water into a gravity drain on the back wall of the building. To fix the structural issues near the back wall, the crew installed our Supplemental Beam and SmartJack stabilizers. Both the beam and stabilizers are made of galvanized steel so they don't deteriorate over time. The SmartJacks can even be adjusted to lift any settling that has already occurred. Now the property owner can have peace of mind.
