Dehumidifying a Pittsfield, MA Basement
Challenge
This homeowner in Pittsfield, MA reached out us to because they were dealing with a very damp-feeling basement. One of our inspectors, Dave, went out to the home to provide a free estimate on the dehumidification project. After assessing the basement, Dave drew up a solution that would not only eliminate the moisture in the air of the basement, but also completely send it out of the home.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew arrived ready to dehumidify the basement! They installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier which is the most high performance, energy efficient model on the market. The crew also installed our SuperSump Plus sump pump in the basement. The SaniDry Sedona takes all of the excess moisture out of the air and drains it into the SuperSump Plus. The SuperSump Plus then sends the water out of the basement through a discharge line. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen line. Now the homeowner no longer has to deal with a damp basement!
