Basement Transformation in Tiverton, RI
Challenge
A homeowner in Tiverton, RI gave us a call after having their home inspected and finding that there were some causes for concern in their basement. There were signs of water and excess moisture issues, as well as structural integrity concerns. Our sales inspector, Trevor, went out to the home and took a look at the basement to determine the best solution for each problem area. He drew up a plan and shared it with the homeowner.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Riley, and his crew got to work! To waterproof, they installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the floor's perimeter to collect groundwater. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed around the home's utilities to catch surface water, it's connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. They also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to eliminate the excess moisture issues. The water from the drainage system and dehumidifier is channeled into the SuperSump Plus sump pump which sends all of the collected water out of the basement through a discharge line. For the foundation issues, the crew installed our SmartJack Stabilizers to add support to the structure. They are strong beams made of galvanized steel that can be adjusted to reverse any settling that has already occurred. Now the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement is protected by DryZone!
