Finished Basement Waterproofing in Hingham, MA
Challenge
A homeowner in Hingham, MA was dealing with water in their finished basement and after talking with a friend who had their basement waterproofed by us a few years prior, they gave us a call. Our sales manager, Jake, went out to the house to take a look at the basement and assess the water issues it was having. He drew up a solution that would completely waterproof the basement and allow for it to be easily refinished after the work was done.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew arrived ready to waterproof the finished basement. They installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier along each wall, behind where the drywall will be replaced, to corral seepage into our WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's perimeter to collect groundwater. The water collected in the drainage system is sent into the TripleSafe sump pump which then sends it out of the basement through two discharge lines. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent flooding if a discharge line ever clogs or freezes. Now the homeowner can refinish their basement and feel confident that they won't be dealing with water issues again.
