Orange, MA Unfinished Basement Waterproofing
Challenge
This homeowner in Orange, MA reached out to us because their unfinished basement was taking on a significant amount of water every time it rained. The homeowner was fed up because they wanted to use the basement as an extra storage space but didn't feel comfortable putting their belongings down there and risking them getting damaged by water. Our sales inspector, Dave, went out to the home to take a look at the basement and he drew up a solution that would keep it dry going forward, allowing the homeowner to use the space.
Solution
On installation day, our production foreman, Kervin, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the basement floor's entire perimeter to collect groundwater. That water is then channeled into our SuperSump Plus sump pump that the crew also installed. The SuperSump Plus pumps all of the water out of the basement through a discharge line. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent flooding if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes. Now the homeowner can start using their basement for storage and not have to worry about water seepage!
