Finished Basement Waterproofing in Brighton, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Brighton, MA reached out to us because they needed help with waterproofing their finished basement. Our inspector, Mike, went out to the home to take a look at the water issues that the basement was having, and he drew up a well-rounded solution. Mike's solution did require the walls of the basement to be demoed, but after the project was done the homeowner would be able to refinish them with confidence that the space will be staying dry going forward!
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Lucio, and his crew installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier behind the demoed drywall to direct seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's perimeter to collect groundwater. The water collected in the drainage system is channeled into our TripleSafe sump pump which sends it out of the basement through two discharge lines. On the home's outside, our IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent flooding if a discharge line ever clogs or freezes. No the homeowner can refinish their basement and not have to worry about water damage!
