Waterproofing a Basement in Cumberland, RI
Challenge
This homeowner in Cumberland, RI reached out to us about their basement because it was taking on water. They used their basement to store some of their belongings so it was important that the space stayed dry. Our inspector, Rick, went out to the home and did a full assessment of the basement. Rick then drew up a well-rounded waterproofing plan and shared it with the homeowner. They felt confident in Rick's plan and were looking forward to installation day!
Solution
Our foreman, Tomas, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the floor's entire perimeter. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed inside of the bulkhead door to catch surface water, it's connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. All that water is then channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump which sends it out of the basement through two discharge lines. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system prevents water from flooding back into the basement if a discharge line ever clogs or freezes. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their belongings being damaged by water!
