Waterproofing a Wet Basement in Westminster, MA
Challenge
This basement in Westminster, MA had been dealing with puddles on their basement floor for a while now, making their basement a major space that they just could not utilize to its full potential. There was an existing sump pump and the water near the sump was draining but with each rain, the other puddles around the basement would have to be swept into the sump hole in order for the pump to actually do its job, that meant this home had a basement they couldn't fully use and added time and labor every time it rained? No, thank you!
Solution
Our inspector knew that installing a full perimeter of WaterGuard along with a proper sump pump, like our TripleSafe, was necessary to make this a dry, usable space. The WaterGuard drainage system would line the whole basement along the seam of the foundation wall and floor, this would prevent that water seepage from forming puddles on the middle of the floor like before. Then, with a new TripleSafe sump pump, the water would collect in the liner that contained three pumps. So whether it was a bit of little water with a quick rain or a lot of water after a big storm, this family knew their basement would be safe! No more sweeping water and anxiety after each rainfall!
