Basement Garage Waterproofing in Coventry, RI
Challenge
This homeowner in Coventry, RI had reached their limit after months of their basement and garage flooding after every rain, making them unusable spaces! With three sump pumps going throughout the spaces as well as a dehumidifier and fan, you'd think the home would be dry, but it unfortunately was not. After each rain, a awful smell, like a wet skunk, would seep up from the basement, no one wanted to go down there! Our inspector paid the home a visit and was able to devise a plan to fix this basement once and for all, making it the usable space they so desperately wanted!
Solution
With a plan in place to upgrade the sump and fully waterproofing the basement and garage, our crew was able to get to work! The installed our TripleSafe sump pump as well as a SuperSump sump pump system since the basement was taking on so much water. The two pumps would be able to keep the seepage in both rooms under control with the benefits of the battery backup pump in the basement. Along the walls, they added CleanSpace Wall, our vapor barrier, to keep moisture seepage from the walls contained and directed into the WaterGuard pipe system, which would collect that wall and floor seepage, connecting to the sump pump for removal! In the garage by the door was TrenchDrain, an open top pipe collection system to catch water from coming in from that opening, connecting to the WaterGuard and sump pump in that area. With all these methods in place, these homeowners can now feel at ease after each rain and use this extra space however they please!
