Cape Cod Water Solution
Challenge
In Sandwich, MA, on Cape Cod, there was a home with a basement that needed some upgrades. The owner was aware that the two existing sump pumps were not doing what was needed to keep their space dry and needed to be upgraded to a reliable system that would keep the whole basement dry, all the time. Our inspector had the same goal and proposed the right solution for their specific basement.
Solution
At the installation, the crew encapsulated the attached crawl space that was contributing to the humidity in the air. The encapsulation and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier would help reduce moisture in the air. Around the basement, WaterGuard piping was installed to collect seeping water. The WaterGuard sits below the surface of the floor, on the footing, and collects water from the foundation’s weakest point. That water is then directed into the TripleSafe sump pump where it gets pumped up and out of the basement. The TripleSafe has three pumps, one being a battery powered backup pump, making it a reliable choice for this basement!
