Restoring a Wet Finished Basement in Dedham, MA
Challenge
The basement of this Dedham, MA home had a water problem that was a big issue since their basement was finished and the flooring was buckling from the moisture. The owners reached out to the DryZone team looking for help and we were happy to provide a solution! Our inspector visited the home and showed them how we could help and the products we could use that would not only waterproof the basement but get it looking like a finished basement again!
Solution
After the project was agreed on, the crew got to work! They installed a TripleSafe sump pump system that had WaterGuard piping connected to it. This system would collect the seeping groundwater and bring it to the sump pump where it would be removed from the basement. After the waterproofing system was in place, it was time to restore the basement! The EverLast Wall panels were placed on tracks that didn’t interfere with the waterproofing solution, and the panels would be able to be removed if access to that area was needed. Elite Plank flooring was put down to finish the space, making the basement look whole again and like there was never an issue to begin with!
