Westport, MA Basement Renovation
Challenge
In Westport, MA, this basement was having a consistent leak that was preventing the owners from renovating the space, like they planned. In order to move forward with their plans, they needed to address the leaks first! Our inspector drafted a plan to waterproof the concerning area, as well as some ways we could assist them in getting their finishing renovations started!
Solution
The crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump system with WaterGuard piping to collect and remove the water seeping into the basement. Along the with the WaterGuard on the wall, CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier was installed to keep any moisture from the cold concrete wall contained, preventing damage to any future drywall. To jump start their renovations, our Elite Plank flooring in Pecan was installed. This flooring is not only moisture resistant, but also creates a thermal break, making the surface temperature up to 10 degrees warmer!
