Pembroke, MA Finished Basement Waterproofing
Challenge
This Pembroke, MA home’s basement had water leakage after a big rainfall and the new owners were not prepared! They learned the hard way that their basement leaked! At the free estimate, our inspector showed the owners the products we would use to waterproof the space, making sure this didn’t happen again, but also how we could help get their basement back to the finished space it was before the wet walls and flooring had to be cut away. The extra steps we covered helped make the decision a lot easier!
Solution
Our crew exposed the seam of the foundation wall and floor to install the WaterGuard piping which was connected to the TripleSafe sump pump system that was installed in the unfinished portion of the basement. Once the concrete for the WaterGuard was dry, the EverLast Basement Wall system could be installed. Metal studs replace the removed wooden ones, and the panels are installed securely in place. The metal studs and mold proof vinyl panels add extra security knowing that if there were to be any moisture, they would not be damaged like drywall and wood would be! A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is the final touch to keep the humidity down in the basement, and once their choice of flooring is installed, they basement can be enjoyed again!
