Challenge

The home owner in South Kingstown, Rhode Island was looking for a permanent solution to their basement water and moisture problems. A few years back they thought they had solved the problem by waterproofing from the exterior of the home. Unfortunately with some rain storms and humidity in the summer they have noticed the solution has failed them.

Solution

The home owner contacted DryZone Basement Systems for a free estimate and met with our system design specialist Patrick Cahill to discuss their current water problem in the basement of the property. Patrick explained the advantages of waterproofing from the inside of the home to keep the basement dry and soon after we were able to install a sump pump and drain system. The foreman Ricky DeOliveira installed a SuperSump sump pump system, WaterGuard perimeter drainage system and a discharge line with an IceGuard.

The blue sump pump is our SuperSump system. It is attached to the white PVC pipe which discharges the water to out of the basement and away from the home.

The WaterGuard drain system is installed where the floor meets the wall to capture the ground water before it enters in the basement.
