A homeowner in Gardner, MA gave us a call about both the crawl space and finished basement beneath their home. The crawl space was very damp and dirty which was affecting the finished basement that was next to it, so they were looking for a reliable solution that would help each area. Our inspector, Rick, went out to the home and drew up a well-rounded solution. On installation day, our foreman, MJ, and his crew first laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor of the crawl space to allow any water to flow under and out instead of pooling inside. Then they insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation and TerraBlock floor insulation which regulate temperature and they don't deteriorate over time. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off from the outdoor moisture. In the finished basement, our crew set up our SaniDry XP dehumidifier to further eliminate the damp feeling. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their crawl space and can fully enjoy their finished basement.
