A homeowner in Florence, MA reached out to us looking for an estimate on how to waterproof their basement and keep humidity under control in the space. They were having mold remediation done and wanted to make sure it would stay away going forward. Andy, one of our inspectors, went to the home to assess the basement and shared his plan and estimate with the homeowner who was excited to moved forward. Kervin, one of our foremen, and his crew arrived on installation day ready to waterproof the basement! They started by seamlessly installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier along the basement walls. Then they installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the basement floor to collect ground water. The TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch excess water and it is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. They also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity in the air of the basement low and it drains itself into the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe takes all of the water it collects and sends it out of the home through the two discharge lines. The IceGuard discharge line system was installed on the outside of the home and prevents flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line. Now the homeowner can feel confident that their basement is waterproofed and they won't be finding any more mold!
