This homeowner in Colrain, MA gave us a call because they had been trying to solve their basement's water issues on their own but realized they'd need a professional's help. One of our inspectors, Dave, went to the home and drew up a solution that would keep the basement dry going forward. Our crew started waterproofing the basement by installing our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the floor to collect the groundwater. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch excess water and it is connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. All of that water is channeled into the SuperSump Plus sump pump which sends all of the collected water out of the basement through a discharge line. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement in the event that the discharge line gets clogged or freezes.
