This homeowner in North Easton, MA reached out to us because they were looking to have their basement finished but it frequently took on water. Before starting the process of finishing their basement, they wanted to make sure it was completely waterproof, especially since they live in a high water table area. We were more than happy to help! Our crew started waterproofing the basement with installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier seamlessly along each wall to corral any water permeating the wall into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's entire perimeter to collect groundwater. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch surface water, it's connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. They also set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the basement to control humidity. The water collected in the drainage system and dehumidifier is channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump which sends the water out through two discharge lines. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever clogs or freezes during colder months. The homeowner can now feel confident when they start to finish their basement!
