Our inspector, Rick, went to the home and drew up a solution to waterproof the finished area of the basement. On installation day, our foreman, Lucio, and his crew first installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the floor's perimeter to collect groundwater. In front of the basement door that leads outside, the crew installed our TrenchDrain grated basement drain to catch any surface water coming in through the door. The WaterGuard and TrenchDrain are connected and drain into our SuperSump Plus sump pump which sends all of the water out of the home through a discharge line. On the outside of the home, the crew set up our IceGuard discharge line system which prevents flooding if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes.
