This homeowner in East Orleans, MA reached out to us because they were dealing with water coming into their basement through the walls, windows, and floor. Our inspector, Nick, went to the home to draw up a plan that would keep the basement dry going forward. On installation day, Foreman Kervin and his crew got to work! They started by installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the wall to corral seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's perimeter for collecting groundwater. The crew also installed our WellDuct Window Well drainage system to send the water coming in through the windows into the WaterGuard as well. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed around the utilities located in the basement to catch surface water, it's also connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. All of that water is then channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump which sends it out of the basement through two discharge lines. On the home's exterior, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes. Our Sunhouse window enclosures were installed to prevent a majority of the rain from reaching the basement windows. Now the homeowner can have nothing but peace of mind next time it rains!
