This homeowner in Westport, MA gave us a call because their basement was taking on water and they had a sump pit in the floor but no actual pump to discharge the water. Our inspector, Andy, went out to the home to take a look at the basement and he drew up a solution to install a real, reliable sump pump. On installation day, our foreman, Damien, and his crew installed our SuperSump Plus sump pump in place of the sump pit. The SuperSump Plus pumps all of the collected water out of the basement through a discharge line. On the outside of the home, our IceGuard discharge line system prevents water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever clogs or freezes. Now the homeowner can have peace of mind with our SuperSump Plus keeping water out of their basement!
This homeowner in Boston, MA, contacted our appointment center after his sump pump had not been turning on for several rainstorms. The sump pump's failure led to water flooding into his basement, which was not fun to get out with a vacuum. Our production crew replaced the failed sump pump with our SuperSump sump pump! We also added an UltraSump backup battery pump to act as a last line of defense if there's a power outage.
In Quincy, MA this crawlspace was dealing with some dampness and was looking for a way to keep moisture out while also keeping it clean! Our solution was CleanSpace, a vapor barrier that will protect the space from pests, moisture and dirt, creating a much cleaner appearance.
DryZone Basement Systems recently installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system in Quincy, MA. This crawl space had a dirt floor and was constantly allowing damp, moist air into the crawlspace and up through the home. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System, along with the SaniDry CSB crawlspace dehumidifier will keep this crawlspace dry for years to come!
This is a prime example why it is so important to continue checking your system. We recommend at least once a year but in some cases more frequent appointments may be needed. Iron ochre is a waste byproduct of iron bacteria and occurs naturally in the soil across the world. This orange 'goop' is iron ochre and it can clog a system (think of it like cholesterol clogging an artery).
