This crawl space from Westerly, RI was musty and gross from all of the excess moisture getting in. Yuck! Our team cleaned out all the debris and wrapped up the floor with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to protect this crawl space from moisture. By preventing moisture intrusion, we decrease the chances of mold growth and musty odors!
This customer did not want to deal with his sagging floor above his crawl space and contacted us for a solution. The support beams were rotting away which completely weakened the support they could provide. To fix the problem, we installed our SmartJacks under this sagging floor. These SmartJacks are made of galvanized steel, so they will never corrode making these a permanent solution! Now, this homeowner is able to walk on his floor without the worry of a possible collapse!
This home in Rockville, RI had so much falling insulation in the basement and what good is insulation if it’s in pieces on the floor? Our Rim Joist spray insulation stays put and fits perfectly into the rim joists to seal the cold or hot air outside. Much cleaner and more effective!
Above are before and after photos of a crack. We utilized our Flexispan crack repair system. We had previously done work for this homeowner, and he recently noticed a crack in his basement wall. The crack was leaking water into his basement and he knew that DryZone Basement Systems was who he should call.
Our inspector went to the home to take a look at the crack and determined we could use our Flexispan system to seal it. Our team went out and filled the crack from top to bottom with our special Flexispan sealent.
Flexispan differs from other crack fillers or sealents in two major ways. First, Flexispan eliminates the use of messy expoxy injections and instead seals the crack with a flexible sealent that will stop water seeping through the crack. The other key factor in our Flexispan system is that it doesn't end with sealent. Our system uses an additional step to make sure that no seepage will make it pass the sealent. A second layer of beveled foam is used, which would drain any small amount of additional seepage down into your drainage system or into a small drywell created under the basement floor.
We were on our annual service checkup for this customer in Shrewsbury, MA when our Service Specialist Mike found a large amount of iron ochre in the sump pump basin. This is a bacteria in the water that will grow on the pump, in the discharge line, in the WaterGuard and all that needs to be done is a hot water flushing and cleaning.
