A homeowner in Exeter, RI noticed some wood rot under the wooden support structure in his dirt crawl space. The wood rot was from all the moisture seeping in from the cold dirt and onto the support beams and floor joists. This caused the floor above to become unstable, so we saved the day by installing SmartJack floor support systems to permanently stabilize the floor. These can also be adjusted for when the foundation shifts in the future!
This wet basement in Exeter, RI was in need of some help: flooding and heavy rains caused water to seep up through the basement foundation floor and wall/floor joints, moisture lingered in the air causing moldy damp smells, and there was no way for the water to exit the home. Our inspector, Steve daSilva, evaluated the situation and came up with a plan on how to keep this basement dry for years to come. With a full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump system, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier system - they are as well protected as they could be against future issues!
The existing sump pump and dehumidifier set up in this unfinished, concrete basement in Exeter, RI was not keeping up with the moisture, humidity and water that the basement was taking in. With the electrical cords also laying in the water on the basement floor, it posed a big safety risk as well. Our team installed a brand new, top of the line TripleSafe Sump pump system in it's place, as well as our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier system on an elevated stand - to eliminate any safety or health risk. The dehumidifier is set up to drain automatically into the sump pump system by design, and is completely hands-off and worry free. Think: set it & forget it! That is the sense of ease and confidence we want all of our homeowners to feel when choosing DryZone to keep their basements dry!
This homeowner in Harvard, MA reached out to us about their crawl space because the existing vapor barrier and insulation were in poor condition. Our inspector, Josh, went out to the home to take a look at the crawl space and he drew up a solution to reinsulate and encapsulate it using our products. Our foreman, Riley, and his crew first removed the debris that was in the space and then they laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor. They reinsulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation to regulate temperature year-round and it won't deteriorate over time. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to completely seal it off. Now the homeowner can have peace of mind when it comes to their crawl space.
