This previously finished basement in Maynard, MA was taking in water along the foundation wall/floor joints, and in several spots throughout the foundation floor. The homeowners did have a sump pump installed, but it just wasn't keeping up with how much they were taking in. Our inspector, Michael C, performed a thorough evaluation on this basement to determine what the needs would be to keep it dry and allow it to be finished once again. One of the most crucial items on that list was replacing the existing sump with our TripleSafe sump pump system. With three pumps, including the batter operated back up pump, these homeowners won't need to worry again whether it will be enough to keep up! They are well prepared thanks to DryZone!
It's hard to believe this is the same space! Sagging and moist insulation, mounds of dirt and debris removed to create a dry, usable space
This homeowner from Ashland, MA was not happy with his dirty crawlspace. It was cold and had a strange smell. We were able to solve his issue by encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace vapor barrier that will ensure no moisture gets into the area. Also, we installed SilverGlo wall insulation to reflect heat back into the crawlspace.
A basement in Ashland, MA was not in the best shape as there was insulation falling apart, debris everywhere and it felt very damp. Clearly not in ideal conditions, so we improved the quality by cleaning out the debris, replacing the insulation with our SilveGlo wall insulation and encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace vapor barrier! This system collectively deals with any moisture problems and heats up the area as well!
This homeowner in Ashland, MA gave us a call because the crawl space beneath their home was creating a cold environment for the living space above. It was previously insulated with fiberglass but over time it had fallen onto the floor of the space and created a mess. Our inspector, Steve, went out to the home and drew up a solution for the crawl space. On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew first removed any debris and old insulation from the space and then laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor to allow any water to flow under and out rather than pool inside. Then they reinsulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which regulates temperature and doesn't deteriorate over time like the fiberglass did. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space to seal it off from the outside earth. Now the homeowner doesn't have to worry abut their crawl space and they'll notice a much more comfortable living space.
