A homeowner of this dirty crawlspace in South Kingstown, RI was on the verge of anger after constantly smelling the musty odors that were circulating around the area. It was to a point where enough was enough and called us for the best solution. We solved his issue by completely wrapping up the crawlspace with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture from seeping in, which lowers the risk of mold growth and that awful smell.
This damp, narrow crawlspace in Wakefield, RI was in need of both waterproofing work and an encapsulation system. With a wet exposed earth floor, support beams holding moisture, and either missing or ineffective insulation - an overhaul was definitely necessary. DryZone's inspector and installation crew did an incredible job diagnosing, planning and executing this project which included: out CleanSpace vapor barrier encapsulation system and drainage matting (to create a protective firmer barrier beneath the CleanSpace and allow for water drainage), SilverGlo spray foam and foam board insulation, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, Mold-X mold and mildew treatment, and a SuperSump Plus sump pump system to handle any instances of flooding!
In this North Providence, RI home, the simple sump pump in a hole was not working out for the owners and they needed something more professional with a backup. We sent an inspector out and they got a good look at the current sump and wrote up a proposal for a new and improved system, including the UltraSump battery backup pump. This pump is combined with another pump and goes in the liner if the power goes out or the pump can’t keep up with the water then the backup pump will kick on and help combat the water intake. We highly recommend the backups and many of our customers are very happy with the comfort of having one with their system.
Lori in North Providence, RI had a basement that just wasn’t being used to its full potential, water was making this space a prime location for mold and moisture. She was really looking to transform the space into a functional room for storage and possibly a laundry room but needed some work done there first. Lori set up a free estimate and our inspector went out to see the basement and hear what exactly she was hoping to get out of it. He explained all the products and how they work so that she would know what was going into her basement and what it would do to help her, next thing you knew we had a signed contract and she was scheduled for installation.
One of the products used was Waterguard, a drainage system that collects water while under the floor’s surface and is connected to the sump pump. By having the system under the floor, it can catch water from the seam and also is almost invisible to the homeowner, a definite plus to this system.
This existing pump in North Providence, RI was still allowing water to puddle in the basement during heavy rains. Wanting to put an end to that, the owners gave DryZone a call and schedule a free estimate to have our inspector out and give them a solution! After looking over the system, an upgraded system with more capacity and pump power was recommended and later installed. Now this basement is protected from water seepage by three pumps!
