Encapsulating a Narrow Crawl Space in Providence, RI

Challenge

This homeowner in Providence, RI called us because they were concerned about moisture in their basement and they were also interested in having their crawl space insulated. Our inspector, Jake, went to the home to assess both areas and drew up a solution. This crawl space was unique because you didn't have to actually "crawl" in it, the ceiling was the same height as the rest of the basement. However, it was very narrow, only four feet wide. Jake included this information in his solution so that our crew would be properly prepared for installation day.

Solution

Foreman MJ and his crew arrived on installation day ready to work! To fix the moisture issues in the basement, they installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which is the most efficient dehumidifier on the market and it even drains itself. In the crawl space area, the crew insulated the walls with our SilverGlo insulation to regulate the temperature of the space year round. They also encapsulated it with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to further prevent moisture buildup. Our crew was able to navigate the narrow space with ease and the homeowner is so happy that they called DryZone!
