Housatonic, MA Crawl Space Encapsulation & Foundation Repair
Challenge
This homeowner in Housatonic, MA reached out to us because their crawl space needed help in a couple of areas. It needed to be waterproofed and encapsulated, but it also needed some structural help as well. Our inspector, Dave, went to the home to provide a free estimate and drew up a solution that would solve all of the issues in the crawl space. One challenge of this project was that the crawl space was only about 2-3 feet high, but our crew is highly skilled and they make navigating a small crawl space look easy!
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew started with the waterproofing portion of the project. They installed our SmartPipe drainage system and SmartSump crawl space sump pump to collect water and send it out of the space. Then the crew fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off from outdoor weather effects. To fix the structural issues, the crew installed eight of our SmartJack Stabilizers throughout the space, which are adjustable beams made of galvanized steel. SmartJacks add support to a crawl space without the risk of deteriorating, they're a strong option that can be trusted! Now the homeowner can have peace of mind when it comes to their crawl space!
