Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Encapsulation in East Bridgewater, MA

Challenge

This homeowner in East Bridgewater, MA gave us a call because the joint basement and crawl space in their home needed some help. The basement was taking on water during heavy rainfall and the crawl space was dirty and cold. The homeowner wanted to finish the basement area eventually, but they wanted to take the necessary steps to make sure both areas were in the best shape before doing so. Our inspector, Rick, went to the home and assessed both areas, then he drew up a solution that would completely waterproof the basement and fully encapsulate the crawl space area.

Solution

Our foreman, Riley, and his crew started the project in the crawl space area. First, they insulated the crawl space with our TerraBlock insulation to regulate it's temperature, then they fully encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. For the waterproofing part of the project, they began by lining the walls with the CleanSpace wall system to direct seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement floor. Then they set up our SaniDry XP dehumidifier to keep humidity low, it drains itself into the sump pump system. Our crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump in the basement to send all of the water out of the home. The homeowner feels much better about both the crawl space and basement of their home and now they can plan to have it finished in the future!
