Waterproofing a Crawl Space in East Falmouth, MA
Challenge
A homeowner in East Falmouth, MA gave us a call because the small crawl space attached to their home was having some issues with water leaking into it at the foundation. Our inspector went to the home to take a look and drew up a solution that would keep the space dry going forward. It was determined that the seepage was focused mainly where the two foundations meet since this crawl space was part of an addition that was recently added to the home, so that's where the waterproofing work would be focused.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew started with installing our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space to collect the groundwater coming in at the foundation. In the corner of the crawl space that had most of the water seepage, the crew installed our SmartSump crawl space sump pump to send the water out of the space. On the outside of the home, the crew installed our IceGuard discharge line system which prevents flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line. Now the homeowner can rest easy knowing their crawl space will be staying dry!
