Crawl Space Repair in Fairhaven, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Fairhaven, MA had the fiberglass insulation in their crawl space removed for mold treatment and gave us a call after looking to reinsulate before the cold winter months. They were also interested in having the crawl space encapsulated to further prevent mold growth. Our inspector went to the home to take a look and draw up a solution that would properly insulate the space as well as fully encapsulate it.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman and his crew started work in the crawl space by removing the debris that was cluttering the area. Then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor to make sure that no water pools inside of the space. Next step was insulation! The crew installed our TerraBlock floor insulation and SilverGlo wall insulation, both are made of material that not only regulate temperature, but also won't deteriorate over time like fiberglass insulation does. After the insulation was in place, the crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Now the homeowner doesn't have to worry about their crawl space any longer!
